How to register a child for Franklin Township public schools
Online registration through the district portal, what to upload, and who to call.

Registration for Franklin Township Public Schools (FTPS) is online through the district portal. The district's page still showed 2026-27 dates when this was checked, so look for 2027-28 dates in early 2027.
Start here
Use the district's online registration portal. Finish the process with "finalize" to get a confirmation email. If no email arrives, registration is not complete.
2026-27 windows
- PK3: February 1 to March 1, 2026 (child is 3 on or before October 31).
- PK4: April 6 to May 15, 2026 (child is 4 on or before October 31).
- K-12: opened February 1, 2026. Applications sent before the opening date are removed.
- Children who attended PK3 or PK4 do not need to re-enroll for the next grade if they are present on the last day of school.
What to upload
- Home Language Survey
- Proof of address (or a notarized Address Verification Form if the lease or deed is not in a parent or guardian's name)
- Health history form, dental form (U.S. dentist) and Universal Child Health Record (U.S. physician)
- School Based Health Services consent form and records release form
- Current immunizations
- Photo ID of both parents or guardians
- A legible birth certificate
- Custody papers, if applicable
- For PK3 and PK4: proof of income (also pay stubs, W-2s or tax returns for PK enrollment)
Residency
The district is not a "Choice" district. Admission for non-residents is decided case by case. Attendance-area maps are posted on the district's registration page.
Moving within the township
Send the Change of Address form, a parent photo ID and one proof of the new address to registration@franklinboe.org. Owners can use a deed, tax bill or mortgage statement. Renters use a lease.
After an absence of 10 or more school days
A re-registration form is required. The district says it is processed within 48 hours.
